The market maker is an agent that undertakes to maintain bids and offers on a regular and continuous basis at an established maximum spread, facilitating trades and mitigating artificial movements in the share price that may be caused by lack of liquidity.
B3 has continually encouraged publicly traded companies to have market makers, with a view to promoting trading in their shares and increasing liquidity. Hidrovias do Brasil’s participation in this process reinforces its commitment to investors and to the best negotiation practices.
